Releasing the Charr fry involved gently tipping a bucket of fish into the water whilst walking slowly along the lake shore to try and spread the fish out around the lake between Smithy Beck and the River Liza. In total around 16,000 fry were released and there survival will be monitored in years to come when hopefully increase numbers of char are seen spawning in the Autumn.
