The group came down past the harvesting work adjacent to High Beck. The harsh triangular shape planted in 1978 is being felled and will not be replanted. The aim is to allow natural processes to decide what mix of habitats and species will grow here next. Hopefully the felling and extraction will be complete in early October when work will start to reinstate the right of way through the site which should reopen soon after.
